The Business Retention and Expansion project focuses on business support and engagement. Through interviews with local businesses, data is collected that enables action on any immediate issues and opportunities and creates a plan for future economic development activity.

The BR+E project is a partnership between Valley Heartland CFDC and Lanark County and is in direct response to the Lanark County Economic Development Strategic Plan 2018-2020 that identified a county-wide BR+E a as a key priority action for implementation, under the theme of supporting entrepreneurs and business owners
